Pickled Tomatoes

【Ingredients】(4 Servings)
Tomatoes (トマト / Tomahto)……2
Onions (玉ねぎ / Tamanegi)……1/4
Vinegar (酢/ Su)……2tbsp
Soy sauce (しょうゆ / Shōyu)……2tbsp
Sugar (砂糖 / Satōh)……1tbsp
Salt (塩/ Shio)……1/4tsp

[How to Make]
① Remove the stem portions of the tomatoes. Also remove the whitish portions just below where the stems were attached. Place the tomatoes in boiling water for about 5 seconds and then remove them to cold water. Skin the tomatoes and cut them into 6 wedges of equal size. Thinly slice the onion.
② Combine the vinegar, soy sauce, sugar, and salt. Add the tomatoes and onions and set aside for 30 minutes.
