Okara is the soy bean pulp left over from the process of making tōfu. At only 89 calories per 100g, okara is both low-calorie and nutritious. It is also a good source of dietary fiber (9.7g per 100g), and has long been valued as an inexpensive foodstuff. Okara can be obtained from tōfu shops if you would like to purchase some for yourself.
