Manganji peppers (万願寺唐辛子 / Manganji tōgarashi)……4
Ham (ハム / Hamu)……4 slices
Salt (塩/ Shio)……Pinch
Black pepper (ブラックペッパー / Burakku peppāh)……Pinch
Olive oil (オリーブオイル / Orīhbu oiru)……As needed
【How to Make】
① Remove the stems from the peppers. Make a lengthwise cut in one side of each pepper and remove the seeds.
② Roll up each of the ham slices and stuff each into a pepper.
③ Put a frying pan on medium heat, add the olive oil, and fry the peppers until they brown slightly. Turn off the heat, add salt and pepper to taste, and serve.
